Danielle was the evil stepsister

Danielle performed in the play "Once upon a Dream" at school. She played the role of one of the three evil stepsisters. I have to say she did a great job at acting nasty. She loved the part and had a really good time on stage. All 98 students in her grade performed in one way shape or form. It was great to see the performance and she did a really nice job. All of her friends were in it. In fact one of the Cinderella's is a really close friend of hers.

Danielle's Birthday party

Danielle celebrated her birthday with her friends at the bowling alley this year. She had 15 friends at the lanes bowling. It was a lot of fun and great to see all the kids having a lot of fun.

Disney Trip- beginning of April

We had a wonderful time at Disney in early April. The weather was beautiful and we were able to get some sun.(Unlike Winnipeg which was snowing when we left and had snow still on the ground when we returned) Aunt Linda and Gramma D came with us. We enjoyed showing off the different sites.

Weather on March 6

Just thought I would post about the balmy spring weather we are having here in Winnipeg. The weather this morning is -26 C or -13 F without the wind chill. Just a beautiful spring day here. I thought everyone might like to see the snow that we still have here and the way the girls are dressed to walk up to school. I am beginning to wonder will the snow ever melt??? I guess I have never seen a snowman in July.

New Haircuts

The girls finally got their hair cut. Here are the pictures of them now.

Danielle Speed skating Competition at MTS centre

We were so proud of Danielle for making the speed skating competition. It was held at the MTS centre which is a huge arena where the Jets used to play. It was neat to be able to watch her skate around. She didn't fall and we were really excited for her to have such a great opportunity.

Festival Du Voyageur

We just got back from the French festival. It was a lot of fun. The girls had a great time. The weather was -25C with the windchill of -34C. It was a little cold but we dressed in layers and the girls had hand warmers inside their gloves. The girls enjoyed all of the winter festivities especially going down the sled hills on the inner tubes. I was a little nervous when they went down and hit the fence but thank goodness no one got hurt. They also had a sled chute that was iced all over and the girls went down together on that several times. It was a great day.
