Kayla's new haircut

Kayla decided to cut all of her hair today it looks so cute.

Youth nativity outside

Danielle had a live nativity at the church this past Friday. It was so much fun, really cold and snowy but it turned out really well. Hopefully some of the people who passed it may have been blessed and remember the reason for the season.

Kayla's Christmas Program

Kayla did a great job for her school program. Kayla was chosen to recite lines for the entire 3rd grade. We were really proud of her. She was a cute reindeer.

Halloween in Canada

Halloween was fun here in Canada. Kayla was a pirate and Danielle didn't go out. She had a Halloween dance at school and was a princess, but she wouldn't let me take pictures of her. She took a picture of the dress instead.

Thanksgiving weekend in Regina Oct. 12th

We drove Aunt Paulette and Aunt Linda to Regina again this weekend for their vacation. It was nice to visit Aunt Linda Walker and her dog Baxter. Kay had fun playing with the dog and we all loved visiting. As we were leaving on October 12th they were getting snow. When it was all said and done they had 6-7 inches. I was very thankful that we were leaving to go back to Winnipeg. Snow in October is way to early.

Kayla's 8th Birthday Slumber Party

We had a 8 year old birthday slumber party with Kay's friends at the beginning of October. There were 6 little girls who stayed over. It was fun for Kay and the girls didn't go to bed to late.

Girls 1st Day of School

The girls enjoyed their first few weeks of school.
Danielle is already in Grade 7 and Kayla is in Grade 3

Danielle's Soccer

We were so proud of Danielle and their team. They won the Charleswood cup and took 1st place for the division. Danielle did a great job playing goalie and not allowing any goals in. It was a great season for the girls.

Great Christian Concert weekend

We had a great time at the end of August in South Dakota watching christian rock bands and praising God. It was so awesome to see a bunch of youth praising God and listening to good christian music. We slept out in a corn field and poor Ter's allergies were really kicking up. By 1:00 am the music was still going and the youth were still having a great time. I am getting old and can't party like I used to. Also is marshmallows and hotdogs a good breakfast for the kids during camping?

Shan and Kenna visit Winnipeg

Shannon and Kenna came to visit for a week in August to Winnipeg. We really enjoyed their visit even though it was busy with VBS. I put them both immediately to work and was so pleased with their willingness. The Canadian family really enjoyed seeing the Virginia family and I loved it all. Kenna celebrated her 12th birthday with us while she was here. We even took Shan to a soccer game of Danielle's. Boy was she ever cold.

New York Fun

We really enjoyed seeing everyone in New York. The boating was a lot of fun and just being able to hang out and see the family was even better. The girls tried their hands at fishing. Danielle caught the most, even Ter caught some. We tried to eat them for dinner but they weren't that great. I loved the berry picking. I ate so many blueberries during picking that I wasn't feeling so well later on but it was really worth it to have fresh fruit. Kayla still wants to try making blueberry jam. We will see if that will ever work. She just wants to mash the fresh blueberries and make it into jelly.
